Jose R. Urdaneta founded Academia Development & Real Estate in 2020 and leads it as a Florida Certified General Contractor and licensed Real Estate Broker. He built the firm around a single idea: one licensed operator should be able to carry a South Florida building through its whole life — construction, 25/30/40/50-year recertification, SB-4D Milestone and SIRS compliance, and structural restoration — without the handoffs and scope gaps that stall condo and HOA projects.
Under his direction Academia holds six in-house Florida trade licenses — general contracting, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and solar — plus a real-estate brokerage, so the same team that writes the scope self-performs the work that decides whether a building stays insurable, financeable, and marketable. He personally reviews the firm’s field-intelligence articles for technical accuracy.
